Quick Boost Your Detox with this Yummy Smoothie! Ingredients

Good morning LOVElies!

Every once in a while I get off track with my healthy eating goals… Whether it be a night out with friends or holiday weekends, I allow myself to indulge every once in a while!

And guys, I admit… I don’t feel bad about it. (GASP!)

I love food way too much. Life is too short, and that is why I work so hard to eat healthy on a daily basis so I can enjoy.. guilt free!

It is usually a nice break from my routine and I  believe it or not I am usually excited to get back on track when Monday morning rolls around. Here is a great detox smoothie recipe for those mornings where you are ready to get back on track! It is so nutrient dense and filling that you can quick boost your detox in one cup!

This smoothie will trick you into drinking your greens. Spinach and parsley are all jam packed with detoxifying properties, not to mention that they are just nutrient dense anyways. You can go out of your way to find recipes and meals to consume these leafy greens OR…….. you can just drink this.

I promise. It does not taste like you are drinking a salad. The antioxidant filled berries and bananas are the star of the show!

I throw in some chia seeds to add a little added protein to this smoothie. It will keep you feeling fuller longer too!

Feel free to get creative with this recipe but if your goal is to detoxify make sure you watch your sugars! I use water and an unsweetened milk alternative because:

  1. Juice tends to be high in sugar. We want to keep the sugar on the minimum to aid in the detoxing. Plus the berries, bananas, and apple contain enough natural sugar to make this smoothie taste incredible!
  2. Cow’s milk can be harder to digest. We want to give our digestive system a BREAK right?
  3. Make sure your milk alternative is unsweetened! Remember? Low sugar!

Quick Boost Your Detox with this Yummy Smoothie!

Ingredients for your detox smoothie-

  • 2 cups of frozen berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries.. whatever you prefer!)
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 large apple
  • 3-4 inch section of a cucumber
  • 1/2 cup of flat leaf parsley
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 cup of unsweetened milk alternative (I prefer coconut milk or almond milk!)
  • 1 cup of water

Detox Smoothie Recipe-

  1. Add all ingredients into a blender.
  2. Blend on high for 2 minutes.
  3. Check the consistency. Add more water if needed.
  4. Blend for another minute if needed.
  5. Pour, and enjoy!

Additional smoothie tips!

If you have crazy busy mornings like I do… you can make this smoothie up to a day ahead of time and store in the refrigerator. I like to make mine when I am in the kitchen working on dinner the night before. In the morning I can just grab and go!

You can also turn this into a meal prep smoothie by pre measuring the greens and fruits and storing in a freezer bag. When you are ready to prepare your smoothie, just add water and your milk alternative!

Good morning LOVElies!!! Happy Wednesday!!! The weekend is creeping around the corner and I’m ready to party!!! Why?? Well… It’s my BIRTHDAY WEEKEND!!!Many of you probably know I LOVE to dance with any beat to the music and my favorite drink is “aqua on the rocks with a hint of lime” but just in case you don’t, now you know! Also, we are having a huge celebration as we celebrate home advisor welcoming us to their family. Yay!!!Just as excited I am about this weekend, I’m more excited about getting back to drinking Green smoothies. They’re deliciously addictive, fun to make and silly to drink alone. In case you’ve missed this deliciously “black-N-blue” green smoothie recipe.

What you need:

1/2 cup of blueberries

1 ripe banana

2 BIG handfuls of Spinach

1 cup of water

Peachy Strawberry Smoothie

Good morning LOVElies!!! Who is craving for a refreshingly cold & delicious green smoothie? I am!!! I am!!!

When is peach in season again?! YUM can’t wait!! !  Here’s a simple (flashback) of my peachy-strawberry smoothie recipe:

What you need:

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 2 white peaches
  • 1 cup of Unsweetened almond milk (add a little or a lot depending on your consistency liking)
  • 2 big handfuls of spinach
  • SUPERFOOD chia, hemp and buckwheat seeds
  • Ice (optional)* *if using ice, cut the liquid base in half….

Mmmm DELICIOUSLY YUM!!!

blueberry banana smoothie

Good morning LOVElies! Rise and shine! It’s a beautiful Monday and supposedly it’s going to be beautiful all week.

To start my week out right, I made a delicious blueberry banana greensmoothie with a touch of LOVE (strawberry heart)

What you need:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 2 BIG handfuls of spinach
  • 1 celery stalk
  • Unsweetened almond milk

Good morning LOVElies!!! I hope you had a great weekend. The weather was beautiful. I can’t believe the forecast is predicting snow tomorrow. Oh Northern Virginia! Why can’t you be nice to me? Haha JK! It hasn’t been to bad Feeling a little exotic today? How about this strawberry greensmoothie with a touch of Jackfruit! Mmmm YUM!

What you need:

  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 1/2 cup of strawberries
  • 1/2 cup of jackfruit
  • 1 pear Coconut water

Coconutter Banana Smoothie

Good morning LOVElies! “Uh-oh… guess what day it is? Guess what day it is? Aww I know you can hear me… ” haha it’s Wednesday! You made it through half of the week.

Yay!  My friends at @sweetspreads provided me with a variety pack of delicious coconutter. For my greensmoothie this morning, I’ve incorporated a spoonful of SweetSpreads CocoNutter white chocolate with my creamy spinach and banana smoothie. This “CocoNutter” banana greensmoothie was Mmmm… YUM!

What you need:

  • 1 BIG handful of spinach
  • 1 banana
  • 1 spoonful of Sweetspreads coconutter white chocolate
  • Unsweetened almond milk

Straw Cado Smoothie

Good afternoon LOVElies!!! After a wonderful weekend with amazingly warm weather, we get hit with 11″ of snow overnight. It’s definitely cold but beautiful.

My frenchie is here visiting from Florida and I’m not sure she knows exactly what this cold white fluff is.  Anyhow, for lunch: my yummilicious green smoothie: “Straw-cado”

What you need:

  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1 banana
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 2 BIG handfuls spinach
  • Unsweetened almond milk

Avoberry Smoothie

Good morning LOVElies! TGIF!!! It’s 7am and I’m dancing like no one is looking haha  “Everything comes naturally… it comes naturally… when you’re with me, baby” Hahaha

Something about music just makes me so happy. You know what else makes me happy in the morning? My yummilicious smoothie. Oh yes!  This delicious “Avo-berry” is simple, easy and Mmm YUM!

What time you need:

  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1/2 cup red raspberries
  • 1/2 blueberries
  • 1 banana
  • Unsweetened almond milk

Good morning LOVElies! Rise and shine!! Are you ready for another green smoothie?

Green smoothies are rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, dietary fiber and protein. They are easy to make and delicious to drink! Here’s my greensmoothie for the day: I call this one “Ora-berries”

What you need:

  • 1 orange
  • 1 cup of berries (your choice)
  • 2 BIG handfuls of spinach
  • 1/4 avocado
  • Unsweetened almond milk

Mmmm… YUM!
